With alphadidact® Digital the screen content is transmitted from or to any workplace in a classroom, in real time and in highest digital resolution (Full HD 1920x1080 and 1920x1200).

The following selections can be made via the system keyboard or tablet PC:

• teacher transmits his/ her image to an individual student (T -> S1)
• teacher transmits his/ her image to a group of students (T -> S1, S2 and S3)
• teacher transmits his/ her image to all students (T -> ALL)
• teacher retrieves image of single student’s screen to view on his/ her own screen (S1 -> T)
• teacher transmits a student screen to an individual student/ several students (S1 -> S5)
• teacher transmits a student screen to a group of students (S1 -> S5, S6, S7)
• teacher transmits a student screen to all students (S1 -> ALL)

Via the function key notebook you can start a presentation directly from your notebook, and for example send the signal to all participants’ screens. And your notebook doesn’t even have to be connected to WLAN or corporate network.

The function key projector facilitates the image transfer from any workstation to the projector, naturally in Full HD or 1920 x 1200.

With the help of our so-called ‘advanced function’ the instructor can transmit images from multiple signal sources simultaneously, eg in order to compare them with each other:

• teacher transmits his/ her image to the projector, and at the same time transmits a student screen to all other student screens
• teacher transmits his/ her image to the projector, and at the same time retrieves and views the image of a single student’s screen on his/her own screen
• teacher transmits his/ her notebook signal to the projector, and at the same time transmits a single student’s screen to all other student screens
• teacher transmits his/ her notebook signal to the projector, and at the same time retrieves and views the image of a single student’s screen on his/her own screen
• teacher transmits his/ her notebook signal to the projector, and at the same time transmits his/ her pc monitor signal to all student screens
• teacher transmits his/ her pc monitor signal to the projector, and at the same time transmits his/ her notebook signal to all student screens

Via the function key blank on the system keyboard the teacher/ lecturer can blank individual, a group or all participants’ screens.

The blanking of all student screens while automatically locking keyboards and mice is possible through the optional keyboard and mouse lock function.

The teacher’s workstation is exempt from the blank function.

Parallel to the blanked screens the teacher / lecturer can send his screen content (PC or notebook) or the signal of a student to the projection.

The Video Scan / Monitoring function allows the teacher / lecturer to look at individual screen contents of the participants, and to view them on his/ her own screen. Each participants’ screen content appears for approx. 3 seconds on the teacher’s monitor.

An LED on the system keyboard (or a blinking light on the tablet pc) indicates which participant’s screen is currently on display.

With the ALT key the teacher/ lecturer can pause the scan function, which allows him/ her to take a longer look at a screen.

The layout of the system keyboard is individually adapted to your seating plan in the classroom. The arrangement of the individual student buttons (S1, S2, ...) corresponds with the actual layout of the classroom.

This makes it easy for the teacher/ lecturer to match the keys, and increases the user-friendliness of the system.

The keyboard layout can of course be changed and/ or expanded at any time.

The fail-safe function is one of the most important technically unique features of the alphadidact® Digital systems.

An electronic circuit within the DVI module passes the signal from the graphics board directly to the local monitor, even if the complete training system is idle or the DVI box has been separated from the central unit.

All screens, PCs, keyboards and mice remain fully functional in the case of unexpected system failure, and without the need for any changes to the cabling! Your training classes are therefore 100% secure - anytime!

The alphadidact® Digital star network is far superior, in particular to training systems with ring-, bus- or tree structure.

Any number of additional sources may be integrated in the alphadidact® Digital system (e.g. DVI, HDMI, Display Port) can be integrated. They are each controlled via a dedicated key on the system keyboard.

An instruction manual for the videodidact® or alphadidact® digital training system is stored on the tablet pc.

The key legend and user manual will be displayed according to the tablet pc language setting as per the setup of the device (available languages are English/ Spanish/ French/ Italian/ German).

With the new alphadidact® Digital screen studio function, screen contents can be recorded and digitized.

The instructor can select any participant and record his/ her work progress via the alphadidact® system keyboard or tablet control function on a tablet pc.

After saving the recorded film it can be made available to all participants, eg for editing or forwarding.
Basic Functions:

• Selection of any participant by pressing a button (on alphadidact® system keyboard or tablet pc)

Audio line is an optional language lab stereo function for alphadidact® Digital or videodidact® Select systems.

Communication with Individual Participants
The voice communication to and from the individual workstations is automatically linked to the image transmission, so that no further operating steps for setting up voice communication are needed
 
Image and Sound Transmission to all
By pressing a button the teacher/ lecturer can transmit his/ her image to all participants’ screens, and simultaneously transmit the sound to all headphones.

Audio Transmission via Speaker  
Additionally, an external sound system (speakers) can be integrated.

Connection of external audio sources (sound card, DVD etc.) to the EBS audio box is possible. Movies can be transmitted with image and sound to each individual pc.

We also offer high-quality headsets (microphone/ headphone). Existing headphones or headsets can be connected via jack or modular plug.

If you are using two video cards and two monitors per workstation, we can connect both ports in your training system.

During an image transfer to or from a workstation, both signals of the dual video cards are transferred to the two screens of the receiving station.

Alternatively, the video card signals can also be transmitted separately.

Upon request, you can integrate another teacher/ lecturer workstation in your alphadidact® Digital system.

Via a second system keyboard you can operate the training system from two workstations in the classroom.

This option is mainly used for large premises, or if you have co-teachers instructing (team teaching) students.

Via an optional switch the student / participant can prevent the screen inspection by the lecturer.

A red LED lets the student know that the teacher/ lecturer has activated the Video Scan / Monitoring function.
If the student uses (activates) the deactivation switch now, the teacher/ lecturer is no longer able to view / scan this particular screen/ workstation.

The switch and LED are mounted in an attractive and compact aluminum housing.

The coupling system allows the interconnection of two alphadidact® Digital training systems.

Both systems can be used irrespective of each other. If the coupling mode is activated, control of both rooms is executed through the main keyboard (master).

This option increases flexibility in the allocation of training rooms.

Depending on the classroom conditions, alphadidact® Digital systems can also be installed in a satellite set-up.

Especially in large training rooms the use of multiple central processing units can make sense. Any number of central processing units can be cascaded as satellites, without losing the advantages of the star topology.

Our computer lab systems are equipped with a serial RS232 interface. This allows for control and integration of our training systems in serial media controllers (e.g. AMX or Crestron).

With our serial key box you can operate all training systems simultaneously via the system keyboard and a media control unit.
